§ 20.04.516. Mobile home.

- "Mobile home" means a vehicle without motive power, designed or used for human habitation, and constructed to travel on the public thoroughfares in accordance with the provisions of the Vehicle Code of the state or to be placed on a permanent foundation for long-term occupancy if built to the specifications of the National Housing and Construction Safety Standards Act of 1976 and issued an insignia of approval from the State Department of Housing and Community Development or the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Mobile homes placed on permanent foundations are exempt from vehicle license fees and must surrender vehicle license plates, certificate of ownership and certificate of registration to the Department of Motor Vehicles.(Ord. 82-2-888 § 1: prior code § 19.08.645 (Ord. 557 § 105(M) (part), 1964))
